Crews responded to a three-alarm house fire that erupted Friday in Maywood, according to authorities.

Officials say the blaze began on the back deck of the house.

Crews hoisted a ladder to the roof and worked to extinguish it with the help of members of the River Edge Volunteer Fire Department.

It is unclear if anyone was injured. The cause remains unknown as of Saturday morning.
